Most days you can find me testing recipes in the kitchen or working on my couch in leggings, covered in a cozy blanket. As a kid, my mom had dinner on the table most nights. She was always whipping something up for us to eat in between school and soccer practice. It was not until I attended the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, that I realized my love and passion for cooking and baking.
I know firsthand that wellness is more than the food that we eat, which is why I take a holistic approach. Holistic health and wellness is about caring for the whole person, not just a few parts. It encompasses what we eat, what we think, and what we do. When I am not busy working, I am usually watching football or reality TV, brainstorming new recipes, or dreaming about my next vacation.
Hey There!
I am now a certified Institute for Integrative Nutrition holistic nutrition and health coach with a passion for helping others take control of their life and health.
The past few years for me have been plagued with health issues. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, had multiple surgeries, hospital stays, countless infusions, and many doctor visits. When I was at a very low point, I decided to try out essential oils. This was the beginning of my love (and maybe obsession) with holistic health. I began to seek out alternative ways to help my body heal.
I was told that I could manage my auto immune disease with medication, and for a while, that did work. But, I wanted to do more than just manage it. I read stories about people who had completely healed themselves, and I was determined to do the same thing. I just did not know where to start.
After a few months of searching, I stumbled upon the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). It seemed to be just what I was looking for. After a few weeks of intentional research and thought, I decided to go for it. My expectations and goals were simple: implement what I was learning into my life to make a positive change in my health. Three months later, I had a routine scan that showed that I was in remission.

where I've been
I started having health issues, but no one could pinpoint the cause.
I felt so miserable, and I had trouble getting out of bed and doing normal everyday tasks.
I finally received the correct diagnosis: Crohn's Disease. This is what jumpstarted my holistic healing journey.
I had 2 surgeries, a 7 week hospital stay, and countless infusions.
I was having flare ups every couple of weeks. I thought another surgery was inevitable.
I started taking classes at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition! I was determined to heal myself.
I had a scan that showed that I was in remission! After 3 months of consistent action, I had healed my body.
I am developing recipes and educating others on the power that food & lifestyle have on the body.
